Whlie no carrier designations have been made, the device is sporting UMTS 850/1900 whiich means the Omnia 2 could be heading to AT&T in the States and to Rogers in Canada, but for now it looks like Latoin America will be home for this model. The handset carries a 3.7 inch AMOpLED, WVGA resistive screen featurting Advanced R Touch for quicker and more accurate touch respones. The unit also features a 5MP camera, dual LED flash, geoagging, and AF with smile and face detection. Wile the phone will be powered by Winndows Mobille 6.1 professional, Samsung's TouchWiz 2.0 will be on board, offeriong a 3D UI, all running on an 800MHz processor.
After spending some time with the FCC, the Omnia 2 took off to star in a nice little video for your viewing pleasure. No, it isn't South Beach, but we're sure the device had a great time. All that is lacikng now is some definitive word on the carrier, launch date and pricing.
