Concrete is a mixture of cement & stone aggregate. When mixed with a small amount of water, the cement hydrates to form a microscopic opaque crystal lattice structure

encapsulating and locking the aggregate into its rigid structure. An artificial stone-like material used for various structural purposes. It is made by mixing cement and various aggregates, such as sand, pebbles, gravel, shale, etc., with water and allowing the mixture to harden by hydration.

Pressed Concrete poles for electrical H.T. and L.T. lines widely used now a days in different power distribution in the villages specially rather than towns. There is no environmentally pollution problem arises in this industry. There is fair market demand for electrical poles.

When an automobile collides with a concrete pole on the road, the concrete pole deflects once and then resumes its original vertical posture by elasticity. When the impact is strong and results in a large deflection, however, the reinforcing bars in the interior are plastically deformed with an elongation of

only 0.2%. The concrete pole can not resume the original posture, remaining as deformed. The deformed concrete pole thus forms a traffic hindrance, and poses a danger.

Under such circumstances as described above, there is a demand for a concrete pole having an improved elasticity, which, even after occurrence of such a large deflection as to cause plastic deformation of reinforcing bars therein, can resume the original vertical posture, and which does not form a traffic hindrance or a danger for cars and electric trains. A concrete pole provided with such properties has not as yet been proposed.

BENEFITS OF CONCRETE POLES:

Wide variety of colors, styles and finishes
Permanent surface ages well under the stresses of nature and time
Rigid construction prevents wind sway
Low maintenance

Reinforced poles support heavier loads than the metal or fiberglass standards
Air entrained for freeze and thaw protection
Resists car bumper damage
High durability due to centrifugally spun cement
Direct burial option saves time and money

Based upon information and data collected during the study, and subsequent research and analyses, we are of the opinion that there is sufficient market demand to support the product sales plan of the company for its project of placing concrete cement poles in India.

This recommendation is based on our analysis of market characteristics, the cement industry supply and demand, the product offered by the competitors, the growth of the infrastructure and related sectors associated with the class of products, and the targeted clientele of the products proposed.

The demand & supply of concrete cement poles depends on two major forecasts:
Cement industry forecast
Electricity supply forecast

The demand & supply forecast of cement industry is estimated to be:
The CRISIL reports project that cements demand is expected to outstrip supply. The production & consumption increased by 9% & 10% respectively.

GDP growth from the construction industry in the last three
years—12.1% during FY2006, 12.5% during FY2005, and 10.9% during FY2004—has boosted cement consumption by 10% during FY2006, as against 8.1% during FY2005, and 5.8% during FY2004.

The demand forecast of electricity supply is estimated to be:

Twenty-three percent of 586,000 villages and 56 percent of 138 million households in India do not have electricity.

The analysis part of the report shows there is a wider scope for this product in India. Still there are many villages without

electricity. Scope for planting concrete cement poles is bright in India.
